5 to 9 hours: A metro run into town becomes realistic. Keep the loop simple, Casco Viejo or the Cinta Costera waterfront, and start back early enough to absorb the transfer at Corredor Sur and the terminal shuttle.
9 hours plus: Enough for the full picture: the old town, the bay-front walk, a canal viewpoint, and dinner in El Cangrejo before the ride back. Then the part that catches crew out. Plan the return leg around the metro’s closing time, or book a ride instead.
