Have used Alamo several times in the US and it is so convenient. Apart from San Diego (something to do with customs) it is all done in advance. Check in, pass driving licence details, and go directly to the relevant lot for the car type you have booked. Have your choice of whatever cars are ready to go…or you can wait to see what comes back freshly valeted. Have your details double checked at a security point, takes 3-4 minutes and your on your way. Never had an issue and no hidden surprises on your return.
