What to Do on a Layover in Doha: is five hours enough to leave Hamad International Airport?
Under 5 hours: Stay airside. Free terminal Wi-Fi, prayer rooms, and a hotel inside the transit area beat a round trip through immigration on a window this short.
5 to 9 hours: A city run is realistic. The metro station is at Terminal 1, and Msheireb plus Souq Waqif make a compact loop that leaves the return buffer intact.
9 hours plus: Now a full Doha day fits: the corniche and the West Bay skyline, the museum quarter, then Souq Waqif in the evening once the heat drops and the alleys fill up.
